There’s many different ways you can get involved with the Barron PTA! Our mission is to develop and foster a closer connection between home and school by encouraging family involvement. We want all Barron families to feel welcomed and to help us build a community for our students. Joining the PTA
Join the PTA!
One the best ways to get involved is to join the PTA! Annual membership is just $10 ($15 for family.) Joining the PTA is a great way to:
- Meet new people and build lasting relationships.
- Get to know our school’s teachers and staff in a fun, low-stakes environment.
- Connect to important school and community resources that benefit your child.
- Strengthen our community—we need your unique perspective to make a difference!
Volunteer!
Your time commitment is up to you! Whether you have a lot of time or a just a little, we’d love to have you as part of our membership. We know how busy schedules can get, so we encourage you to be involved in whatever way best fits your schedule. At our meetings we’ll discuss budgets, programming, school events, and volunteer opportunities. Throughout the year there are many opportunities to volunteer, both during the school day and at after-school events.
Donate!
For those who don’t have time to volunteer but still want to help, please consider making a donation to the Barron PTA! Your donation helps fund the events and special projects we run throughout the year. All funds go back to the children and the school. FAQ for PTA
What is the PTA membership dues cost?
PTA dues are $10 per individual or $15 for a family membership. This cost supports programs for the entire Barron community throughout the year: events, activities, field trips, and so much more!
Why are there PTA dues?
Dues provide a foundation for basic operating costs, insurance, and supplies, allowing us to plan and support the school consistently. Dues-paying members are involved in programming decisions!
Am I required to come to meetings? What if I need to bring my child?
Meeting attendance is never required! Children are invited to color, read, or play quietly during the meeting. They must remain with the adults at all times and cannot be unattended in the school.
When are the meetings?
The ‘26-’27 schedule will be announced in the fall, but the meetings are no more than once a month. Next year we hope to offer some variety to help accommodate our community of very busy families!
Corporate Sponsorship
Want to donate on a corporate level? We would love your support! Corporate sponsors will receive special recognition and may include event-based advertisements and/or public placards. Your tax deductible donation will come with a receipt for your records.
